Religion

Religion

True religion comes from an honest heart. It's in the BibleIsaiah 29:13, NIV. "The Lord says: 'These people come near to Me with their mouth and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. Their worship of Me is made up only of rules taught by men.'"
True religion is focused on Jesus, not philosophies. It's in the Bible, Colossians 2:8, TLB. "Don't let others spoil your faith and joy with their philosophies, their wrong and shallow answers built on men's thoughts and ideas, instead of on what Christ has said."
True religion bears spiritual fruit. It's in the Bible, Matthew 21:43, NIV. "Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit."
True religion is doing for others and staying true to the Lord. It's in the Bible, James 1:27, NIV. "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."

This statement is self defeating as the Bible is a compilation of the thoughts and ideas of men. If you are truly being objective, then you will hear all sides of a story, as religion is a story. It is also useful in one's quest for objectivity to pay attention to the rules of one's own religion which one is promoting. The rule I am speaking of is; "judge not lest ye be judged." It is not for anyone to say which religion or set of ideas to follow according to the Judeo-Christian-Islamic God.
