Scolding

Scolding

Scolding can be an appropriate learning tool for children. It's in the Bible, Proverbs 29:15, TLB. "Scolding and spanking a child helps him to learn. Left to himself, he brings shame to his mother."
Too much scolding, however, can be counter productive. It's in the Bible, Colossians 3:21, TLB. "Fathers, don't scold your children so much that they become discouraged and quit trying."
The purpose of discipline is to help the children mature, not to anger them. It's in the Bible, Ephesians 6:4, TLB. "And now a word to you parents. Don't keep on scolding and nagging your children, making them angry and resentful. Rather, bring them up with the loving discipline the Lord Himself approves, with suggestions and godly advice."

  1. I think scolding and severe is a good way to punish your child. I have a 42 year old disabled daughter and everymorning shes always into something. She is short for her age so what I do is I put her over my knee and give her barebottom spankings I have been doing this for years and it works. Afterwards I put her in time out having her sitting on my lap.

  2. What did you think about what I said about my disabled daughter? This morning I caught her with somebody else's paper. I used the belt because stealing isn't good. I have her sitting on my lap right now. I am going yo have her help me with the laundry today. Then while were sitting around watching t.v..or a movie she will be sitting on my lap all day this happens all the time. Everytime I have to give her medication or take her temperature she hates it. 3. Hello its Susanna again my daughter who is disabled still does the same thing except she doesn't take newspapers anymore I stopped that immediately. The only problems I am having with her is massaging enemas suppositories and with taking her temperatures. All the time she gives me no choice but to spanking her barebottom and timeout on my lap. That's allies got to say

  5. Hi its me again. With the same situation with my daughter. I don't know does she want attention? I give it to her all the time. I don't like punishing her she must want to always have lap time I wonder why. She just tells me she wants to be held all the time while she is sitting with me I asked her how her day was and if she was good or not she s good about that but sometimes she waits until the last minute to tell me what should I do?
